The Collaborative Research Center SFB/TR 15 Governance and the Efficiency of Economic Systems is pleased to announce its biannual summer school for postgraduate students.

The school will take place from the 22nd of August until the 1st of September, 2007 in the picturesque Bronnbach monastery, in one of the most romantic regions of Germany, the Tauber valley.

The subject of this year’s summer school is Contract Theory, with Applications to the Theory of the Firm and Corporate Finance.

The summer school will be held by two leading economists in the field, Professor Patrick Bolton, Columbia University, and Professor Mathias Dewatripont, ECARES, Université Libre de Bruxelles.

The school is targeted to Ph.D. students and young post-docs. Its major purpose is to provide a coherent view of advanced contract theory and apply it to topics in the theory of the firm and in corporate governance.

Professor Konrad Stahl, University of Mannheim, coordinates the summer school.
